Aromasin Information
Aromasin (Exemestane) is used to treat certain types of breast cancer (such as hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer) in women after menopause and to help prevent cancer from returning. This medication is often given to women whose cancer has progressed even after surgery, radiation, or other cancer medications have been tried without success. Some breast cancers grow faster due to estrogen. This medication works by decreasing the amount of estrogen the body makes and helps to slow or reverse the growth of these breast cancers. This medication is usually not used in women of childbearing age. Do not take this medication if you are allergic.
