Cosopt Details (Brand and Generic)

CanadaPharmacyOnline.com sells brand name Cosopt from Canada manufactured by Purdue Pharma. The generic Dorzolamide/Timolol is also called Dorzox-T by Cipla in India. We also sell another generic Cosopt from Canada by a manufacturer. Please call our customer support at 1-866-920-3784 for more details.

Dosage

Cosopt is available in the strength of 2%/0.5 % ophthalmic solution (eye drops) in 5 ml and 10 ml bottles. Each ml of Cosopt contains 20 mg dorzolamide (22.26 mg of dorzolamide hydrochloride) and 5 mg timolol (6.83 mg timolol maleate).

Usage

Cosopt (Dorzolamide and Timolol Ophthalmic Solution) is a prescription medication that is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other eye diseases (e.g., ocular hypertension). The active ingredient, dorzolamide, works by reducing the amount of fluid in the eye to decrease pressure. Timolol is a beta blocker and works by reducing pressure inside the eye. The combination of drugs reduces pressure in the eyes and thus reduces the pain.
