Bezalip Information
Bezalip (Generic name: Bezafibrate sustained release tablets) is an oral medication prescribed for the treatment of high levels of cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) and triglycerides (a type of body fat). Bezafibrate is a fibrate used to lower the cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. In addition, Bezalip medicine should be used along with an appropriate diet and exercise routine. Take Bezalip exactly as it is prescribed for you.
Bezalip Side Effects
The most common Bezalip side effects include constipation, decreased sex drive, diarrhea, gas, nausea, stuffy nose, and vomiting. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such easy bleeding and bruising, chest pain, jaundice, muscle pain, and serious allergic reaction (difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
Bezalip Precautions
Do NOT take Bezalip if you are allergic to Bezafibrate or other medications in the fibrate class. Before taking Bezalip oral, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as gallbladder disease, high level of lipids (a condition called hyperlipoproteinemia), and liver or kidney disease. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Bezalip drug, especially of: anticoagulant medications (blood thinners), estrogens, immunosuppressant (drugs for supressing immune responses), MAOs (a type of antidepressants), other cholesterol lowering medications. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
