Vigamox (Moxifloxacin) is a prescription eye drop used to fight bacterial infections of the eye in people over 12 months of age. Moxifloxacin belongs to a group of medications called fluoroquinolone antibiotics. This medication works by killing bacterial that causes conjunctivitis. Vigamox will not treat a viral or fungal infection of the eye. Vigamox is used for bacterial infections only.

Vigamox should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breast-feeding a baby.
