Usage

Epiduo gel (Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% /Adapalene 0.1%) is a prescription medication that is used for the treatment of acne vulgaris in adults and children who are at least 9 years old. Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat acne due to its antibacterial effect; in addition to that, benzoyl peroxide has a mild drying effect, causing the skin to dry and peel, thus, reduce the severity of acne. Adapalene is a retinoid (a derivation from vitamin A) which helps the skin renew itself and stop acne from forming under the surface of the skin. As a result, Epiduo Gel works to reduce the number and severity of acne pimples and heals the pimples that do appear quickly.
