TriniPatch is in a group of drugs called nitrates or antianginals. TriniPatch (Nitroglycerin Transdermal Patch) is used to prevent chest pains (angina) in people with coronary heart disease. Angina happens when there isn’t enough blood pumping through the heart muscle. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, so blood can flow more easily. The usual recommended start dose is the 0.2 mg transdermal patch.

The brand TriniPatch is manufactured by Paladin and is currently distributed from Canada. A generic version of this patch is not available at this time. TriniPatch is available in transdermal patches of 0.2 mg, 0.4 mg, and 0.6 strengths.

Stop taking TriniPatch and call your doctor at once if you have one of these serious side effects:
• Very bad dizziness;
• Very bad headache;
• Fast or slow heartbeat;
• Flushing;
• Burred eyesight;
• Dry mouth;
• Sweating profusely;
• Pale skin;
• Very upset stomach;
• Throwing up;
• Abnormal heartbeat;
• Restlessness;
• Feeling very tired or weak;
• New or worsening chest pain;
• Very bad skin irritation
Less serious side effects of Nitroglycerin Transdermal Patch may include red or warmth when you first put on the patch, dizziness, skin irritation, headaches when you start taking the Nitro-Dur patch.

TriniPatch should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Talk to your doctor about your medical history to be sure you can safely take TriniPatch. Particularly if you have a history of nitroglycerin allergy, heart problems, low blood volume, allergy to adhesives, or if you are breastfeeding. Avoid drinking alcohol while using this medication. If you are 65 or older, use this medication with care, as you may be prone to more side effects. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant and discuss the possible risks of using this medication. There may be an interaction between TriniPatch and other medications such as any other avanafil, riociguat, sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, dihydroergotamine, ergonovine, ergotamine, or methylergonovine, and more. If you are taking any of these medications, speak to your doctor.
