Vagifem tablets should not be used if you have a known allergy to estradiol or any inactive ingredients each vaginal tablet contains. Signs of serious allergic reactions are difficulty breathing, skin rashes, swollen lymph nodes, swelling of the face, hives, and severe dizziness. Call for emergency help if this occurs.

This type of hormone medication may increase the risk of blood clots. Consult your doctor if you go through surgery, on a long-haul flight, or will remain confined in a certain position for a long time. In these events, it might be necessary to take special precautions or discontinue medication temporarily.

Avoid smoking or using tobacco while on this vaginal tablet. The substances they may contain can either worsen or trigger a heart attack, blood clot formation, or hypertension. Women ages 35 years and above could be more prone to this condition.

How does Vagifem work?

Vagifem plays a role in developing and maintaining the female reproductive system and secondary sexual characteristics. It also modulates the pituitary secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and gonadotropins in menopausal women.

How should I use Vagifem?
