Usage

Urispas (Flavoxate) is a prescription medication used to treat muscle spasms of the urinary tract and relieve bladder symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency of urination, excessive urination at night, suprapubic pain, and painful urination (dysuria). The active ingredient in Urispas is Flavoxate. Flavoxate belongs to the class of medications called smooth-muscle relaxants. It works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder, thereby decreasing muscle spasms in the urinary tract and bladder. Urispas does not treat the cause of your bladder symptoms, including urinary tract, bladder, prostate infection, or inflammation.

The common side effects of Urispas are nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, and nervousness.
