Benicar (Generic name: Olmesartan Medoxomil) is a prescription medication used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. The active ingredient in Benicar is Olmesartan Medoxomil. Olmesartan belongs to a class of drugs called Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. Benicar Side Effects:
The most common Benicar side effects are back pain, cough, diarrhea, dizziness, flu symptoms, headache, nausea, skin rash, stomach pain, sweating, weakness, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as blurred vision, decreased sexual ability, fainting, irregular heartbeat, muscle pain, nervousness, swelling in your hands or feet, urination problem, or signs of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., chest pain; difficult breathing; hives; itching; rash; swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat), please inform your doctor immediately.
Benicar Precautions:
Do NOT take Benicar oral if you are allergic to Olmesartan or ACE inhibitors; or any of the ingredients in Benicar medication.
