What is Symbicort Inhaler?

Symbicort Inhaler (budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate) is an oral inhalation indicated to treat asthma and used as a maintenance drug of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease COPD, including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. This inhaler combines corticosteroid and long-acting beta 2-adrenergic agonists that could reduce inflammation and has rapid bronchodilation effects. Thus, Symbicort Inhaler could control and prevent symptoms like shortness of breath and wheezing.

This medication is available in Symbicort 160-4.5 mcg inhaler (=Symbicort 200/6 mcg) and Symbicort 80/4.5 mcg inhaler (=Symbicort 100/6 mcg.
