Betamethasone tablets (Betamethasone) is a prescription medication used to treat several conditions, including allergies, blood disorders, inflammatory skin conditions, inflammatory bowel disease, and autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. The drug is also used to prevent organ rejection after a transplant and treat congenital adrenal hyperplasia and cancer of the bone marrow and lymph nodes. Betamethasone tablets are soluble tablets that you can swallow or dissolve in water. The active ingredient in Betamethasone tablets is Betamethasone. Betamethasone belongs to a class of drugs called corticosteroids. It works by reducing swelling. It also calms down the immune system to treat autoimmune conditions.

Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while taking Betamethasone tablets. The most common side effects of Betamethasone tablets may include the following:
• Indigestion;
• Restlessness;
• Sleeping problems;
• Sweating a lot;
• Weight gain
Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Blurred vision;
• Signs of adrenal gland problems including fatigue, appetite loss, weight loss, muscle weakness, or feeling like passing out;
• Signs of an infection, including a high temperature, sore throat, mouth sores, a wound that will not heal, or pain when you pee;

Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be drug interactions between Betamethasone tablets and NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and aspirin, rifampicin, ritonavir, mifepristone, tretinoin, etc. Avoid cyclosporine, cholestyramine, oral contraceptives, or ketoconazole with Betamethasone tablets. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Your doctor may recommend Betamethasone tablets in pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Betamethasone passes into breast milk in small amounts and may affect a nursing infant if used in high doses or for a long period. Take Betamethasone tablets precisely as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water or dissolve the tablets and take it as a drink. Make sure you finish the drink to get all your dose. It is best to take Betamethasone as a single dose immediately after breakfast. Betamethasone is used to treat several conditions. Your dose will vary depending on your condition. Do not stop taking Betamethasone even if you feel better. Stopping this drug suddenly can make your symptoms worse again and may also cause serious withdrawal effects. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and light.
