Usage

Premarin (Conjugated Estrogens) is a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, burning and irritation. It may also be used to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and replacement of estrogen in women with ovarian failure or other conditions that cause a lack of natural estrogen in the body. Premarin can sometimes be used as part of cancer treatment in women and men. Premarin tablets contain conjugated estrogens. Estrogen is a female hormone that is produced by the ovaries. When a woman reaches menopause, the ovaries produce less estrogen and symptoms of menopause can occur.

Side Effects

The common side effects include: bloating, diarrhea, headaches, nausea, vomiting, lower stomach cramps, and change in sexual desire. The serious side effects may include:
