Fucidin (Sodium Fusidate) is used to treat conditions where the skin is infected by bacteria such as impetigo, infected dermatitis, infected cuts and grazes. The Fucidin ointment treats skin and wound infections caused by Staphylococci. Sodium Fusidate belongs to a class of drugs known as antibiotics. It works by blocking vital processes in bacteria, killing the bacteria or stopping the bacteria from growing.
