Zaditor eye drops blocks the release of chemicals from cells that cause allergic reaction, preventing the itching of the eyes resulting from allergies. Keep at room temperature and protect from heat, moisture, and light.Always follow your doctor’s directions when taking this medication. Wash your hands thoroughly before using Zaditor eye drops. Pull the lower eyelid away from the eye, forming a pouch. Drop the medication into the pouch and gently close your eye. Immediately use your finger to put light pressure on the inside corner of your eye for 1-2 minutes to prevent drainage. Remove any excess medicine around your eye that may have spilled. Wash your hands thoroughly after taking the medication. Do not allow the dropper to make contact with any surface, including your eye. Avoid the use of Zaditor eye drops if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the medication. Do not wear contact lenses while taking Zaditor. Let you doctor know of any other prescription or non-prescription medications, herbal preparations, or dietary supplements you are taking. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breast-feeding so you may discuss the risks and benefits of taking Zaditor eye drops. Zaditor may cause mild stinging in the eye when you first put the medication in however, if this stinging continues contact your doctor. Do not swallow Zaditor. Children under the age of 3 should not use Zaditor eye drops.Do not use Zaditor Drops for future eye problems without first checking with your doctor. Do not use Zaditor to treat irritation cause by contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before taking Zaditor.
