Kytril Information
Kytril (Generic name: Granisetron HCI) is a prescription medication used to prevent or treat nausea and vomiting (feeling and being sick) caused by other medical treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy for cancer. Kytril contains the active ingredient Granisetron; it belongs to a group of medicines called “5-HT3 receptor antagonists” which act as “anti-emetics”. It works by blocking one of the body’s natural substances (serotonin) that can cause vomiting. Take Kytril exactly as it prescribed for you.
Kytril Side Effects
The most common Kytril side effects may include abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, difficult in sleeping, dizziness, fever, headache, unusual tiredness or weakness. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chest pain, fainting, irregular heartbeat, or serious allergic reaction (difficult breathing; rash; hives; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
Kytril Precautions
