PREMARIN (CONJUGATED ESTROGEN TABLETS, USP) INDICATIONS

When a woman enters menopause, her ovaries start to stop producing estrogen. When estrogen levels are low, many women can have symptoms such as mood swings, night sweats, feelings of warmth in the face, neck, and chest, and vaginal dryness or itching.

There are numerous pharmacological and non-pharmacological regimens available to help address these symptoms.

Premarin tablet is an oral hormone replacement therapy. It is a mixture of estrogens.

It is indicated to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms and vulvar and vaginal atrophy due to menopause. In addition, it is given to treat hypoestrogenism, breast cancer, and advanced androgen-dependent prostate cancer. Furthermore, Premarin is used to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.

When Premarin medication is administered correctly and absorbed into the bloodstream, it will work by attaching to nuclear receptors in tissues that respond to estrogen.

In postmenopausal women, gonadotropin levels are high, but estrogens work to lower them. As a result, it helps maintain the estrogen levels in the body and prevents uncomfortable symptoms.
