PHARMACYCHECKER.COM OFFERS DRUG PRICE COMPARISONS FREE STARTING JUNE 1. REPORTS GREATER SAVINGS FROM CANADA THAN WITH NEW MEDICARE DISCOUNT CARDS

WHITE PLAINS, NY — June 1, 2004 — PharmacyChecker.com, a leading independent evaluator of mail-order and online pharmacies, is advising consumers to shop around before deciding to purchase a Medicare discount drug card. Today is the first day that Medicare recipients are able to use the new discount cards. It is also the first day that consumers will have free online access to PharmacyChecker.com's price comparisons across Canadian and U.S. discount pharmacies on over 1500 drugs. Access to this information previously required paid subscription.

By shopping at some of the 30 licensed Canadian pharmacies listed at www.pharmacychecker.com, consumers can save 33% to 78% more than with Medicare discount cards on popular brand name drugs (see table below). For example, Lipitor (20mg - 100 pills) can be purchased for $276.54 using the Medicare discount card. PharmacyChecker.com shows the same drug available for only for $167.08 from a licensed Canadian online pharmacy that partners with a licensed New Zealand pharmacy, circumventing pharmaceutical supply restrictions in Canada. Lower prices on many generic drugs can also be obtained from licensed U.S. wholesale and discount pharmacies listed on PharmacyChecker.com.
