Uceris (Budesonide ER) is a prescription medication that is used to treat mild to moderate Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (UC), an inflammatory bowel disorder. Budesonide is an anti-inflammatory medication, an oral extended-release corticosteroid medication hormone. It works by dampening the inflammation in the body. decreasing the body’s natural defense response (immune response). Budesonide is available under several other brand names has a an incredible array of brands of generics names available in different types of forms such as Entocort EC 3mg, Pulmicort Turbulaher, and Symbicort Inhalation Aerosol; these different brand names medications have different dosage forms and are approved to treat different health conditions.

Signs of an allergic reaction may include difficulty breathing, hives (rash on your body), swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat—If you experience any of these symptoms, please call 911 or seek emergency medical care at the nearest emergency room (ER).

Uceris Precautions

You should not take Budesonide if you are allergic to Entocort or if you have any other allergies. The daily use of alcohol may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. Limit alcoholic beverages. Uceris may slow down your child’s growth if it is used for a long time. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to do go. There may be an interaction between Uceris and other medications such as cyclosporine, ritonavir, omeprazole, ketoconazole, and erythromycin Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may interact with Uceris and lead to potentially dangerous effects. Discuss the use of grapefruit products with your doctor.
