Dosage

Albalon is available in the strength of 0.1 %/15 ml eye drops.

Usage

Albalon (Naphazoline Hydrochloride) is a prescription eye medication used to relieve redness, puffiness, and itchy or watering eyes due to colds, allergies, or eye irritations (smog, swimming, or wearing contact lenses). The active ingredient in Albalon eye drops is Naphazoline hydrochloride. Naphazoline Hydrochloride belongs to the group of medicine called anti-histamine or anti-allergic (Ophthalmic). It works by narrowing swollen blood vessels in the eyes to reduce eye redness. Albalon (for the eye) is for temporary relief of minor eye redness or discomfort caused by minor irritants.

The common side effects of Albalon are blurred vision, eye pain, eye irritation, headache, mydriasis, and changes in intraocular pressure.

Stop using Albalon and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• Buzzing in your ears;
• Eye pain;
• Feeling short of breath;
• Ongoing or worsening eye redness;
• Severe dizziness or headache;
• Vision changes

Please do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination. Before using, check this product visually. Do not use it if the liquid has changed color or is cloudy. Use in the affected eye(s) as directed. Remove contact lenses before applying the eye drops. Wait at least 10 minutes after using this medication before inserting contact lenses.

Albalon is for temporary relief of minor eye redness or discomfort caused by minor irritants. You should not use Albalon if you have narrow-angle glaucoma. Overuse of this medication may increase eye redness (rebound hyperemia). Tell your doctor if this occurs or if your condition persists or worsens after 48 hours. It is not for use in children unless under medical advice. Caution is advised when using this drug in children because they may be more sensitive to its effects, especially severe drowsiness and severely decreased body temperature. • A thyroid disorder;
• An eye injury or infection;

Tell your doctor about all the medications you use, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and vitamin supplements. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medication. It is not known whether Albalon will harm an unborn baby. Whether Naphazoline ophthalmic passes into breast milk or could harm a nursing baby is unknown. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding a baby.
