Utrogestan Information

Utrogestan Details (Brand and Generic)

CanadaPharmacyOnline.com currently offers the brand Utrogestan also called Progestan from Turkey. There is no generic version available.

Dosage

The brand Utrogestan is available in the strength of 100 mg and 200 mg capsules.

Usage

Utrogestan (Progesterone) is used in women undergoing treatment for in vitro fertilization (IVF). The progesterone in Utrogestan helps you to become pregnant and to stay pregnant. The progesterone in Utrogestan is also used with another medicine called oestrogen. The combination of Utrogestan and oestrogen belongs to a group of medicines called hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Utrogestan is used to reduce the symptoms of the menopause (change of life). It is used only in women who still have a womb (uterus). Utrogestan is not a contraceptive. As you get near to the menopause, the amount of the female hormones oestrogen and progesterone in your body goes down. HRT like Utrogestan replaces these hormones and helps reduce the symptoms of the menopause. Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.
