Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) is a prescription medicine that is used to treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Xarelto is also used to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots in adults who have a medical condition called atrial fibrillation (AFib) that is not caused by a heart valve problem.
