Edecrin Information

Edecrin (Ethacrynic) is used to prevent the body from absorbing too much salt and allowing the salt to be passed into your urine instead. Edema is swelling caused by too much fluid trapped in the body’s tissues. Edema can affect different body part, but it is more commonly present in the legs and feet. Conditions such as cancer, liver disease, kidney disease, and congestive heart failure can cause edema. Diuretics like Ethacrynic work by increasing the amount of urine the body makes, helping the kidneys get rid of extra water and salt.
