Uses
Ampyra is a potassium channel blocker indicated to improve walking in adult patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). This was demonstrated by an increase in walking speed.
Dosage
There are oral tablets available in 10 mg strength.

- Ampyra can cause seizures, and you must discontinue use of Ampyra if you experience a seizure.
- Do not to take a double dose after you miss a dose, as this will increase your risk of seizure.
- Do not to take more than 2 tablets in a 24-hour period and to make sure that there is an approximate 12- hour interval between doses

This can be taken with or without food. Administer tablets whole; do not divide, crush, chew, or dissolve the tablets.
Can I take this if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
There are no adequate data on the developmental risk associated with use of Ampyra in pregnant women.
There are no data on the presence of dalfampridine in human milk, the effects of dalfampridine on the breastfed infant, or the effects on milk production.
Speak with your doctor if you become pregnant, and before breastfeeding.
