Nolvadex (Generic name: Tamoxifen Citrate, other trade names: Istubal, Valodex) is a cancer chemotherapy medicine used to treat breast cancer in women. Nolvadex contains active ingredient Tamoxifen, which is the most prescribed SERM (Selective Estrogen receptor Modulator) that fights certain types of breast cancer by blocking the effects of the hormone estrogen in the body. The most common Nolvadex side effects are abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, hair loss, headache, hot flashes, menstrual changes, mood changes, nausea, vomiting, or weight loss.
