Symbicort Turbuhaler (Generic name: Budenoside and Formoterol, also known as Foracort Inhaler or Foracort CFC) is an inhaler used to treat asthma. The Symbicort turbuhaler is used to help asthma in two ways: by maintenance therapy or by maintenance and relief therapy. The first medicinal ingredient, budenoside, is a cortisteroid used to control and prevent asthma attacks by reducing swelling in the airways of the lungs. Formoterol, a bronchodilator, is used to keep the airways open to make breathing easier. When used regularly the Symbicort Turbuhaler can reduce the number and severity of asthma attacks. Regular daily use is important for its effectiveness.

Symbicort Turbuhaler Side Effects

Symbicort Turbuhaler side effects include: awareness of heartbeat or fast heartbeat, cough, dizziness, feeling agitated, headache, hoarseness, irritation of the mouth or throat, muscle cramps, nausea, restlessness or nervousness, tremor, or trouble sleeping. If any of these symptoms become bothersome, tell your doctor. More severe Symbicort Turbuhaler side effects include: bruising, frequent urination or unusual thirst, mood or mental changes, or white patches in the mouth or throat. The safety and effectiveness of the Symbicort Turbuhaler for children under 12 has not been sufficiently tested.
