Estragyn Information

Estragyn (Estrone) is used to manage vaginal menopausal symptoms. These symptoms include painful sexual intercourse and itching, burning, and dryness in or around the vagina. The ovaries produce less estrogen during menopause, causing menopausal symptoms. Estrogens like Estrone work by providing locally acting estrogen to manage menopausal symptoms.

Estragyn Side Effects

The most common side effects of Estragyn may include headache; nausea; abdominal pain; bloating; Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:

Estragyn Precautions

Tell your doctor about all the medications you take, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Estragyn and other medications, like ketoconazole; phenobarbital; clarithromycin; cobicistat; dexamethasone; phenytoin; rifampin;. Do not use Estragyn if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. It is not known if this medication will harm your unborn baby. This drug is meant for use in menopausal women. Do not use Estragyn while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. Estrone passes into your breastmilk and it may harm nursing infants. This drug is not safe for use in children.

Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Estragyn is a vaginal cream that should be inserted in the vagina with the provided applicator. To use the applicator, remove the cap of the tube of cream and screw the nozzle end of the applicator onto the tube. Squeeze the cream until it reaches the mark that indicates the prescribed dose. Unscrew the applicator from the tube, place it into the opening of the vagina, and gently press the plunger to release the medication. Clean the applicator by pulling the plunger out from the barrel and washing it with mild soap and warm water. Store this medication at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
