Xatral (Alfuzosin) is a prescription medicine used to treat enlarged prostate symptoms (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). The active substance in Xatral is Alfuzosin. Alfuzosin belongs to a group of medications known as alpha-1 receptor antagonists. Alfuzosin works by relaxing the prostate muscles and the bladder's opening, improving urine flow and decreasing BPH symptoms. It would be best to know that Alfuzosin does not slow or stop the progression of enlarged prostate.
