Warnings and Interactions

You should not use Axert if you are allergic to Almotriptan, or if you have:

Serotonin syndrome is rare but can be life-threatening if left untreated. Especially if you are taking one or more of the following medications: medicine for nausea/vomiting, antidepressant, antipsychotic, and opioid pain medication. Axert is pregnancy category C, and it is not known if it can cause harm to an unborn baby. You must consult your doctor if you are planning to conceive, are pregnant or are breastfeeding. It is suitable for adults and children over 12 years only.
