Solian Information

Solian (Amisulpiride) is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental condition that affects the way you think, feel, or act. There may be a drug interaction between Solian and other medications, like amiodarone; cisapride; levodopa; methadone; erythromycin; verapamil; amphotericin;. Do not use Solian if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. This medication will harm your unborn baby. Your newborn baby will need close monitoring if you take this drug during pregnancy. Do not use Solian while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. Amisulpiride passes into your breastmilk and it may harm nursing infants. This drug is not safe for use in children below 18 years.

Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Take this drug by mouth with a glass of water. Do not chew, break, or crush the tablet. When taking the oral solution, use the dosage syringe supplied to measure the correct dose. You can swallow the solution or mix it with water. It is best to take this drug before meals. Solian can cause dizziness. Be careful when driving or operating machinery until you know how the medicine affects you. Avoid taking alcohol when using this drug.
