Product Details

Solaraze (Diclofenac Sodium) is a prescription topical 3 % gel that is used for the treatment of warty overgrowths of skin (actinic keratosis) on sun-exposed areas of the body. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID). This medication works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

Solaraze Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects may include dry skin, itching, rash, scaling and swelling. The serious side effects may include:
• Bloody or tarry stools;
• Chest pain, slurred speech, problems with vision or balance;
• Fever, sore throat or headache;
• First sign of any skin rash;
• Nausea upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite;
• Pale or yellowed skin, dark colored urine, confusion;
• Swelling or rapid weight gain

You should not use Solaraze gel if you are allergic to Diclofenac Sodium or if you have any other allergies. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you take including OTC and herbal medications. Limit your time in the sun because your skin condition may get worse when exposed to the sun. Women of childbearing age should talk with their doctor before using this medication. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is unknown if this form of Diclofenac passes into breast milk. There may be a drug interaction between Diclofenac Sodium and other medications such as Aliskiren, lithium methotrexate, clopidogrel, etc.
