• Sudden decrease in blood flow to the legs, major amputation, severe heart problems, or stroke in adults with peripheral artery disease and includes adults who have recently had a procedure to improve blood flow to the legs

Xarelto is also used in children to:
• Help prevent blood clots in children two years and older with congenital heart disease after the Fontan procedure;
• Treat blood clots or reduce the risk of blood clots from reoccurring in children from birth to less than 18 years after receiving at least five days of treatment with injectable or intravenous medicines used to treat blood clots
