Yasmin (Generic name: Drosperinone 3 mg & Ethinyl Estradiol 30 mcg) is an oral combination birth control pill used for the prevention of pregnancy in women. Drosperinone and Ethinyl Estradiol is also used to treat moderate acne for women over 16 years of age who want birth control and have started menstruating. The most common Yasmin side effects are acne, abdominal cramping, breast pain/tenderness/swelling, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, nausea, nervousness, vaginal discomfort, vomiting, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as changes of vaginal bleeding, chest pain, confusion, increased blood pressure, numbness, vision loss, and serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; hives; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
