Product Details

Lotrisone is a cream or lotion used to treat fungal infections of the skin, including, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm. It works because betamethasone is a steroid and clotrimazole is an antifungal.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Lotrisone include burning or tingling of treated skin, rash, and swelling, etc. The serious side effects may include:

• Irritability
• Muscle weakness
• Nausea, vomiting, and severe dizziness
• Tiredness
• Weight loss

You should not take Lotrisone if you are allergic to Clotrimazole/Betamethasone Dipropionate if you have any other allergies. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you currently take including OTC and herbal medications. Children younger than 17 should not use this medication. Never use it to treat diaper rash. It is not known if this medication could affect an unborn or nursing infant.
