Campral Information
Campral is a prescription medication used along with counselling to treat alcohol dependence. Acamprosate works by restoring the chemical balance in the brain in an alcohol dependent person who has recently quit drinking. This medication is usually used in combination with counselling to strengthen the effects. This medication should not be used if you are allergic to Acamprosate, pregnant or suffer from a kidney disease. Do not operate machinery or drive as this drug may cause dizziness or drowsiness after use. Campral contains an active ingredient known as Acamprosate calcium. Take this medication as directed by your doctor. Please consult your doctor for possible side effects and precautions before you take this medication. If you experience any serious side effects, contact your doctor promptly.
