Creon Information:

Creon (Generic name: Pancrelipase delayed-release capsules) is a pancreatic enzyme product (PEP) used for the treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPO), which is a syndrome caused by cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, or after pancreatic surgery. Creon is a combination of three types of digestive enzymes including lipase, protease, and amylase. It helps patients to improve digestion if they cannot digest food properly. Take Creon exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Creon Side Effects:

The most common Creon side effects are abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, gas, headache, nausea, and vomiting. If you are experiencing any severe side effects, and a sign of serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Creon Precautions:

Do NOT take Creon oral if you are allergic to pork or any of the ingredients in Creon medication.
