Usage

Antivert (Meclizine) is a prescription medication used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. People who get carsick, seasick, or airsick are experiencing motion sickness. This condition causes cold sweats, vomiting, and nausea. This drug is also used to treat symptoms of vertigo caused by a disease affecting your inner ear. Symptoms of vertigo include dizziness or a spinning sensation. The active substance in Antivert is Meclizine. Meclizine belongs to a class of medication called antihistamines. It works by reducing the effect of the natural chemical histamine in the body.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Antivert are vomiting, drowsiness, tiredness, and headache.

Stop using Antivert and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
