Indications

Seasonique is a birth control medication used to prevent pregnancy.

This contraceptive medication combines two female hormones, levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol, to help prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation from occurring. Seasonique also makes it harder for sperm to reach your uterus and for fertilized eggs to attach to your uterus by affecting your cervical mucus and uterine lining.

Any time you miss multiple doses you should also use non-hormonal contraceptives.

Can you skip your period on Seasonique?

Seasonique follows a 91-day cycle in which you take active tablets for 84 consecutive days. This means that you may not experience a normal period for up to 3 months.
