Toprol XL Information

Toprol XL (Generic name: Metoprolol Succinate) is a prescription medication used alone or in combination with other medications for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). Toprol XL is also used to treat chest pain (angina pectoris) related to coronary artery disease. Other uses for Toprol XL include the prevention of migraine headaches and the treatment of certain types of tremor conditions as determined by your doctor. Metoprolol XL is in a group of drugs called beta-blockers. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins). Toprol XL Side Effects
