Pletal (Cilostazol) is used to improve the symptoms of symptoms of intermittent claudication; a condition that causes reduced blood flow to the legs, which leads to pain while walking longer distances without pain. Using this medication can decrease the muscle pain or cramps that occur during exercise and walking long distance. Pletal belongs to a class of drugs known as antiplatelets. It works by stopping blood cells from sticking together and prevents them from forming harmful clots. It also widens blood vessels in the legs.

We currently offer the brand Pletal from Turkey manufactured by Otsuka Pharmaceuticals. The generic Cilostazol comes from India by different manufacturers.
Seek emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction to this medication. The common side effects of Pletal may include abnormal bowel movements, diarrhea, fast or pounding heartbeats, and headache.
Contact your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur:
• A light-headed feeling, like you might faint;
• Chest pain, pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest;
• Easy bruising, unusual bleeding;
• Purple or red spots under your skin

You should not take Pletal if you have heart failure of any kind. Prior to taking this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history and if you smoke or if you have ever had:
• A heart attack or stroke;
• Bleeding problems;
• Liver or kidney disease
Avoid using grapefruit products as it may interact with Pletal and lead to unwanted side effects. Tell your doctor about all the medications you take including prescription, nonprescription, herbal products, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Petal and other medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant. Do not breastfeed while you are taking this medication.
