Epiduo Gel Information:

Epiduo (Generic name: Adapalene 0.1% and Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%) is a NEWEST prescription acne gel used to treat acne vulgaris in patients 12 and older. Epiduo Gel is the first & only, once-daily, topical acne treatment combining Adapalene with Benzoyl Peroxide. Epiduo Gel works by reducing inflammation associated with acne and acne-causing bacteria. Epiduo Gel has been proven to help clear acne better than each of these two medications alone. Apply Epiduo Gel directly on the affected area only once a day.

Epiduo Gel Side Effects:

Epiduo Gel is well-tolerated. The most common Epiduo Gel side effects are burning, dryness, irritation, itching, peeling, redness, scaling, stinging, and swelling. Check with your doctor if any of the side effects persist or become bothersome.

Epiduo Gel Precautions:

Do NOT use Epiduo Gel acne if you are allergic to Adapalene or Benzoyl Peroxide or any of the ingredients in Epiduo. Do NOT use Epiduo for acne on cuts, abrasions, eczematous or sunburned skin. Avoid eyes, lips, mucous membranes, sun, UV light. Do not use irritating topical products that contain resorcinol, salicylic acid or sulfur when using Epiduo Gel.
