Voltaren Information:

Voltaren (Generic name: Diclofenac Sodium) is a prescription medication used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. Diclofenac Sodium is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling. Voltaren (Diclofenac) tablets and suppositories are used to relieve pain for people with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and degenerative joint disease of the hip. Voltaren Eye Drop (Diclofenac Ophthalmic Solution) is used to reduce eye inflammation before and after eye surgery (e.g., cataract surgery) and in other cases of eye inflammation where an infection is not present. Voltaren Emulgel (Diclofenac Topical Gel) is the first topical gel to treat the pain of osteoarthritis. Use Voltaren drug exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Voltaren Side Effects:

The most common Voltaren side effects are abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, or vomiting. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chest pain, fast heartbeat, fever, mental/mood changes, seizures, unusual bleeding or bruising, vision changes, and symptoms of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; hives; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Voltaren Precautions:

Do NOT take Voltaren drug if you are allergic to Diclofenac or any ingredients in Voltaren medication. Before taking Voltaren, tell your doctor if you have any medical conditions such as asthma, blood clotting, heart conditions, high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, stomach ulcers, and etc. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Voltaren drug, especially of: ACE inhibitors, diuretics, lithium, NSAIDs, potassium supplements, warfarin and etc.
