Pharixia (Benzydamine Hydrochloride) is a prescription oral wash that relieves the pain and discomfort associated with a sore throat or mouth sores due to recurrent radiation therapy. The active ingredient in Pharixia mouthwash is Benzydamine Hydrochloride. Benzydamine Hydrochloride belongs to the class of medication called local anesthesia. It is absorbed through the oral mucosa and reduces pain and inflammation associated with a sore throat. You should not swallow Pharixia oral wash.
