Usage

Denavir (Penciclovir) Cream is a prescription medication used for the treatment of cold sores or fever blisters (herpes labialis) caused by the herpes simplex virus. This medication is for use in adults and children over the age of 12 years. Penciclovir belongs to a class of medications known as antivirals. It works by stopping the growth of the virus. This medication does not cure herpes, and it does not prevent passing the infection to someone else. However, Denavir cream can speed up the healing process and decrease symptoms such as tingling, pain, burning, and itching.
