Indications

Carnitor is a brand name for the drug levocarnitine and is used to treat primary and secondary carnitine deficiency in adults and children over.

Carnitor is also being studied as a way to prevent tissue damage caused by carnitine deficiency and in the treatment of primary systemic carnitine deficiency.

Carnitine is a substance made in the body from meat and dairy products and is involved in the transport of long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane.
