However, lowering high blood pressure is essential to prevent health complications like heart attacks, stroke, and kidney problems. The active substance in Teveten Plus is Eprosartan and HCTZ. Eprosartan belongs to a class of medication called Angiotensin II receptor blockers. It works by relaxing the blood vessels to reduce blood pressure. HCTZ belongs to a class of drugs called Thiazide diuretics. It works by removing excess salt and water in the body to control blood pressure.
