Prolensa (Bromfenac Sodium) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Prolensa (for the eyes) is used to treat swelling and pain caused by cataract surgery. This medication works by blocking the effects of prostaglandins that cause pain and inflammation. Do not use Prolensa if you are allergic to bromfenac sodium. Prolensa may cause blurred vision, changes in coloured vision, decreased vision, eye pain, red, sore eyes, sensitivity to light, or tearing.
