Arnicare Information

Arnicare Details (Brand and Generic)

CanadaPharmacyOnline.com currently offers the brand Arnicare from Canada manufactured by Boiron Canada. The generic version is not available. Our customers may also purchase other pain medications such as Midrid and Lidoderm Patch.

Dosage

Arnicare is available as 60 Quick dissolving tablets pack, 70 gm cream, and 75 gm gel. The generic version is not available.

Usage

Arnicare (Pain Relief) is an over-the-counter medication commonly used for treating bruising, pain, myalgia (muscle soreness), and arthralgia (joint aches). Due to the fact that the plant can be toxic, it is most often used in a homoeopathic form which is regarded as the active ingredient in Arnicare products. Arnicare actions may be due to two chemicals called helenalin and dihyrdohelenalin. These chemicals may modify the action of immune cells, kill bacteria, reduce the activity of chemicals and blood cells that cause inflammation.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Arnicare include burning, and skin irritation.

Stop using Arnicare products and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, especially if:
• Bleeding occurs especially after surgery;
• Symptoms persist for more than seven days or worsen;
• New symptoms occur;
• Redness is present;
• Swelling increases because these could be signs of a severe illness

Warnings and Interactions

Before using any of the Arnicare products, either the gel, topical cream, the dissolvable tablet pack, and if you have allergies, you should consult your doctor. It would be best if you never attempted to buy or use the dried wild-crafted Arnicare or grow fresh Arnicare to make teas or tonics. Consumption of Arnica herb is poisonous, and your exposure to this drug is likely to be excessive, if not dangerous. For the topical treatment of conditions such as osteoarthritis, it is suggested that you use an Arnicare gel product and rub it into the affected joints as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use Arnicare gel or cream on broken or sensitive skin. Broken skin allows for more excellent absorption of the active ingredient and may cause localized stinging and hypertension.

Before you start using Arnicare, inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have:
• Bleeding disorder;
• Broken skin;
• Certain heart problems such as hypertension, increased heart rate;
Gastrointestinal diseases such as ulcers, Crohn's disease, or other stomach conditions;
• Kidney problem;
• Liver disease;
• Surgery in the next two weeks

It is not safe to use Arnicare if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Kindly consult your doctor or pharmacist for a better treatment option. Arnicare is not recommended for children. Tell your doctor about all the medications you use, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and vitamin supplements. There may be a drug interaction between Arnicare and other drugs such as anticoagulant (blood-thinning) drugs, e.g., heparin, warfarin, Plavix (clopidogrel), Heparin, NSAIDs (e.g., anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen and naproxen), steroids and herbs like ginkgo biloba, garlic, and saw palmetto.
