Neuleptil, with the generic name of periciazine, is an oral medication used to manage aggressiveness, impulsiveness, and hostility among people with schizophrenia or other psychotic illnesses. This can be given to adults and children 5 years of age and above.

This is available in Neuleptil 10 mg, and 5 mg capsules.

How does Neuleptil work? 

This type of medication is known to act like other phenothiazines. It acts mainly on subcortical areas by producing a central adrenergic blockade of the alpha-adrenergic receptors. It also antagonizes the D1 dopamine receptor.

How to take Neuleptil? 

To start, read the medication information leaflet that comes with this prescription medication.
