PanOxyl (Benzoyl Peroxide) is used to treat mild to moderate acne. Acne can be whiteheads or blackheads with a few papules and pustules. Moderate acne is more widespread with white and blackheads with papules and pustules. The active ingredient in PanOxyl is Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide belongs to a class of drugs called topical acne agents. It works by reducing the number of acne-causing bacteria. It also causes the skin to dry and peel, revealing healthier skin.
