The active ingredients in Fucidin H are Fusidic acid and Hydrocortisone. Fusidic acid belongs to a class of medicines called topical antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria that cause infections. Hydrocortisone belongs to a class of drugs called corticosteroids. It works by reducing swelling, itching, and redness of the skin.

Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Fucidin H. The most common side effects of Fucidin H may include the following:
• Itchy rash;
• Reaction at application site;
• Skin inflammation;
• Skin rash;
• Worsening eczema
Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Breathing difficulties;
• Changes in the growth of body hair;
• Excessive sweating;
• Severe skin rash;
• Skin lightening;
• Stretch marks;
• Swelling of face or throat;
• Thinning of the skin
These are not all of the side effects of Fucidin H. Always contact your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.
You should not apply Fucidin H if you are allergic to Fusidic acid, Hydrocortisone or any ingredient in Fucidin H cream. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you:
• Are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed;
• Are pregnant or plan to become pregnant;
• Have a skin condition called acne rosacea;
• Have fungal infections;
• Have perioral dermatitis;
• Have skin eruptions after receiving a vaccination;
• Have skin infections related to syphilis or tuberculosis;
• Have viral skin diseases like chickenpox or herpes simplex
Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be drug interactions between Fucidin H and other medicines. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is not known if Fucidin H will harm an unborn baby. You must not use Fucidin H for a long time or in large amounts during pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Fusidic acid is excreted in breast milk and may harm a nursing infant. It is not known if Hydrocortisone passes into breast milk. Use Fucidin H precisely as prescribed by your doctor. The drug is a topical medicine and should only be used on the skin. Do not swallow or put it inside your body. Always wash your hands before applying Fucidin H cream. Rub the medicine gently on your skin. If you use it on your face, avoid your eyes. If you accidentally get the medicine in your eye, immediately wash it with cold water. Your eye may sting. Contact your doctor immediately if you have problems with your eyesight. The usual treatment time is 2 weeks. Apply the medicine twice each day in the morning and evening. Your doctor will tell you how much cream to use. You should notice improvements after a few days of using Fucidin H. If there is no improvement after 7 days, stop the medicine and inform your doctor. Do not apply Fucidin H cream in open wounds or sensitive areas unless your doctor tells you to. Avoid smoking or naked flames after applying Fucidin H cream. There is an increased risk of severe burns. If you experience a recurrence after stopping the treatment within 2 weeks, do not restart using the cream without contacting your doctor. Do not store above 300C. Keep the medicine out of sight and reach of children.
